Trinity Evangelical Church Council invites you to come be a part of this workshop with Rev. Jake Jacobson based on his book Front Porchin'.  Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP on the sign up sheet in the narthex or by calling the church- office at 814-336-2654.

What is Front Porchin' ?

In his book Rocking the Front Porch: Sharing the Faith in the New Normal,  Rev. Harold "Jake" Jacobson gives us a "process of sharing our faith both among the faithful as well as those who we encounter in the world."  This process takes us to a sense of community that came from times when communities would gather and share the news of the day around the front porch.

Rev. Jacobson will encourage you to explore our faith stories - our individual stories, God's story and the tapestry that is made when those stories are woven together.

From Rev. Jacobson:

How do we best utilize the front porches God calls us into or onto? What is our role in this process? How do we repair our damaged or dis-used porches? Front Porchin’ is a simple process that helps congregations and individuals reassess their gifts and sharpen their skills for sharing the good news with others (both inside and outside the community of faith).
